Accelerating the Private Sector for Food Systems Transformation in Africa
The 2024 Africa Agriculture Status Report (AASR) focuses on accelerating agricultural productivity by harnessing the private sector for food systems transformation in Africa. It highlights the crucial role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in driving agricultural productivity and economic development. The report showcases how these enterprises drive growth and innovation, which is essential for improving agricultural productivity and ensuring food security across the continent. The 2024 GAP Report emphasizes the importance of cross-sector collaboration. Bringing together stakeholders from across value chains, sectors, and backgrounds to pool resources, share knowledge, and drive innovation will create a multiplier effect in sustainable agricultural productivity growth.
